Job Description:
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, inventory and costing coordination, taxation compliance, banking activities, and audit support. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Record daily financial transactions using accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or ERP
Maintain ledgers, journal entries, and reconciliation statements
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable including billing, vendor payments, and collections
Maintain petty cash and bank transaction records
Inventory & Costing:
Coordinate with stores and production teams for inventory verification
Record movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
Support product costing including material, labor, and overhead allocation
Assist in physical stock verification and reconciliation
Taxation & Compliance:
Assist in GST calculation and return filing including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
Support TDS deductions, challan payments, and quarterly returns
Maintain statutory compliance documentation for audits and inspections
Banking & Reconciliation:
Handle bank payments, deposits, and reconciliations
Prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely supplier payments
Support LC or bank guarantee documentation when required
Audit & Reporting:
Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors
Provide accurate MIS reports to management
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting software
Understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory, and costing
Proficiency in MS Excel
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com)
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
